From Sweet Corn to Pumpkins: Fall Is Almost Here at Pettigrew’s

There’s something special about the changing seasons at Pettigrew Feed & Hardware. One minute, summer is in full swing with fresh-picked sweet corn on the wagon, flowers out front, and customers stopping by for their favorite local vendors. Before we know it, the mornings get cooler, the leaves start changing, and fall begins arriving at the store.

And we’re ready for it!

Our homegrown sweet corn has been a favorite this summer, and we’re so thankful for everyone who has stopped by the corn wagon.

Our corn is grown right here in Edinburg, Ohio and picked fresh throughout the day. It’s never refrigerated or sitting around for days — we try to get it from our field to your table as fresh as possible.

Sweet corn season doesn’t last forever, so be sure to enjoy it while you can!

Fresh Baked Goods Every Weekend

Weekends at Pettigrew’s are even better with fresh sourdough baked goods from Freedom Gardens.

Every Friday, Saturday, and Sunday, you can find a rotating selection of homemade favorites like sourdough bread, cookies, scones, focaccia, biscuits, muffins, cinnamon rolls and more.

And with fall right around the corner, keep an eye out — a fall baked goods menu is coming soon!

Fall Favorites Are Coming

Summer may be winding down, but one of our favorite seasons at Pettigrew’s is just getting started.

Soon, you’ll start seeing the store transition into fall with seasonal favorites, fall lawn and garden essentials, and everything you need to get your home and property ready for cooler weather.

Whether you’re tackling a weekend project, getting the yard ready for winter, feeding the birds, or just stopping in to see what’s new, there’s always something changing around here.

Fall is also a great time to start thinking about your backyard birds.

As natural food sources begin changing with the season, keeping your feeders clean and stocked can help bring plenty of activity to your backyard. Stop in and check out our selection of bird seed, feeders, houses and other wild bird supplies.
